Tekuma Frenchman was selected as a top finalist out of a 100 applicants. The vision for Guangfo Plaza stems from the landscape that shaped the site at the intersection of two cities, and the meeting of multiple waterways. The river was given room to grow, becoming a more resilient ecosystem and a natural seal between the two cities.

The LRT is strategically located to service communities on both its banks evenly and minimize its footprint on the developable land area. The Cloud emerges from the landscape, hovering above the LRT to form the station. The form frames a circular regional park space, conversing with the farmlands on the other side of the river.

The main structure of The Cloud becomes a flexible collaboration and communication space, connecting directly to a riverfront exhibition center, a library, a mall and a theater. The Mountain flanks the opposite side of the river, and adopts a pure, and powerful, form to engage uniquely with The Cloud.
